Lines of Lumen is an online 1 vs 1 game fully thought for VR.
The game is powered by the Unreal Engine 4 and uses the Oculus Rift to immerge the player in a virtual arena.
As the main gameplay mechanics rely on drawing we chose the Leap Motion Controller as the input method in order to avoid breaking the presence and to allow an immersive and intuitive experience.
The game development is currently in progress but the above trailer showcases the main gameplay mechanics.
Most game mechanics are based on the fantastic novel of Brandon Sanderson, The Rithmastist.
Working on this project allow me to discover Unreal Engine 4 and how to develop game with it, perfecting my C++ skills, and learn me how to deal with device such as Leap Motion or Oculus Rift.
The game was showcased at Laval Virtual 2015, with a trial mode, and it wins the prize of interactivity.
